Welcome to the opening of the Claypool Elementary School website. My name is Melissa Rees and it is my  privilege to serve as the principal of Claypool Elementary. Over the next several months, WCS staff and I will have the opportunity to prepare the school for 400 Claypool Knights who will be a part of the grand opening in August of 2010. I am excited to have the chance this semester to get to know the students and families who will be attending Claypool. The Eisenhower and Washington staffs will also work to provide transitional activities for the students who will be attending Claypool. Most importantly, I believe it is crucial to work cooperatively with family and community to create an environment of trust and respect in order to meet the social, cultural, emotional, and academic needs of all students.
Claypool will be one of eight elementary schools within Warsaw Community Schools. The school building will now include portions of the "previous" school, as well as new construction. The original portions of the school are being renovated, with the largest section of the school consisting of new construction. Please join me in this exciting time as we follow the construction process together. I will also periodically post updated pictures and information, as well as events to come.
