Feed My Starving Children Week: Important Packing Day Reminders

Posted Date: 10/05/26 (05:48 PM)

It’s officially Feed My Starving Children week! We are excited for many of our WCS students to come together at the TRAC to pack meals for children around the world.

If your student is participating in a packing shift this week, here are a few important reminders:

• Canned Food Drive: We would love for every student and adult participating to bring at least one canned food item. While we work together to fight hunger around the world, these donations will help fight hunger right here in our own community.
• Closed-Toed Shoes: All students and volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes while packing. Please make sure your student comes to school in appropriate shoes on their packing day.
• Jewelry: Students should leave jewelry at home on their packing day. No jewelry can be worn while packing. (They can put it in a bag while packing as well).
• Hairnets: Hairnets will be provided and worn by everyone while packing.
• Chaperones: You will  need to scan into Raptor at your child’s school before leaving OR bring your ID and check in at TRAC Door 14 when you arrive.
• Allergy Information: Students will be packing MannaPack Rice, which contains white rice, textured soy protein (soy flour), vegetarian flavoring, dehydrated carrots and dehydrated potatoes. The meals do not contain peanuts or tree nuts. If your child has food allergies or you have any concerns about their participation, please contact your school nurse before their packing day.

Thank you to our families, staff and volunteers for helping make this experience possible! We can’t wait to see our students working together to make an impact both globally and right here at home!
